Quick answer
There are three ways to blur part of a web page with Blurr: draw a box over a region, click an element to frost exactly that component, or let keyword rules auto-hide sensitive text wherever it appears. Press Ctrl + Shift + YCmd + Shift + Y (Cmd + Shift + Y on Mac) to open the on-page toolbar and pick a mode. Add Blurr to your browser

Open the blur toolbar
Go to any page and press Ctrl + Shift + Y (Cmd + Shift + Y on Mac), or click the Blurr icon, to summon the on-page toolbar. It works on any site and inside iframes.

Choose a blur mode
Pick Draw area to drag a box over any region, or Click element to blur a single component. In element mode, hold Alt and roll the scroll wheel to grow the selection from one word up to a whole card or table.

Adjust the intensity, resize, and pin
Dial the blur from a light haze up to a heavy 20px blur, drag the handles to resize it exactly, and pin it to a fixed spot so it stays locked over sensitive UI while you scroll.

Save, or clear when you are done
Blurr saves your blurs and re-applies them before the page paints on your next visit. Hover to reveal one, remove a single blur, or wipe them all in one tap.

Two gestures cover everything. Reach for whichever fits what you are trying to hide.
Click an element to blur
Point at a component and click to frost exactly that element (a table cell, an avatar, a card). Hold Alt and scroll to grow the selection outward from a single word to the whole container, so you hide precisely as much as you mean to and nothing more.

A blur is only useful if it covers the right thing at the right strength. Three controls get you there.
Adjust the intensity
Turn a blur all the way up when the content must be unreadable, or ease it down to a soft haze when you just want to de-emphasise something.
Resize to fit
Grab the handles and reshape the blur so it covers the sensitive area exactly, with no stray characters peeking out at the edges.
Pin it in place
Pin a blur to a fixed position on screen so it stays locked over a sticky header or a live dashboard while the rest of the page scrolls underneath.

What is the fastest way to blur something on a web page?
