Drawn on your device
Your image is decoded and painted onto a canvas in this tab. There is no server step.
Add a gradient or solid background, padding, rounded corners, a shadow and a window frame to any screenshot. It all happens in your browser: the image is never uploaded.

Screenshotting a web page?
A background makes a screenshot look finished. It does nothing about the email address in the corner. The Blurr.ing Chrome extension blurs names, emails, keys and numbers in the page itself, then captures the tab with those blurs already in the pixels and opens the same background, padding, corner, shadow and border controls you see here.
Free to install, for Chrome on a computer.
How it works
Four steps, about a minute, and nothing to install.
Drop an image on the preview, paste it with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac) straight after taking it, or press Choose image. PNG, JPEG and WebP all work.
Choose None for a transparent margin, Solid for one of 35 colours or your own, or Gradient for one of 35 presets, from pale light grounds to dark ones for a dark screenshot.
Set Padding, Corners, Shadow and Border with the sliders. Add a macOS or Windows window bar if you want, and pick a Size such as 16:9 or 1:1 to fit a post. The canvas grows to the ratio and never crops your image.
Press Download for a PNG, JPEG or WebP at full resolution, or Copy image to paste it straight into Slack, a doc or a social post.
No upload
Screenshots often show customer names, inboxes and dashboards, so this tool never uploads them.
Your image is decoded and painted onto a canvas in this tab. There is no server step.
The page does not send the image anywhere and does not save it. Close the tab and it is gone.
Frame as many screenshots as you like. The file you download is yours, with nothing stamped on it.
FAQ
Done. Was that a screenshot of a web page?
Next time, blur it on the page first. Blurr.ing captures it with the blurs already in the picture, so there is nothing to fix afterwards.
